Privacy Policy

This policy covers the games made by Dumitron ("we", "us"), Isle of Heroes and Starhold, on iPhone and in the browser, and this website. Dumitron is an independent developer based in Canada. In short: we don't ask for your name, email or account, we don't sell your data, and the only third party in our games is Google's ad service, for ads you choose to watch.

What stays on your device

Your progress (coins, unlocks, cards, settings, best runs) is saved on your own device. Deleting the app, or clearing the browser's site data, deletes it.

Gameplay statistics (Isle of Heroes)

To learn what's fun and what's broken, Isle of Heroes sends anonymous gameplay statistics to our own server: a random ID made on your device the first time you play (not tied to your name, email or Apple ID), and events such as a run starting and ending, its length, the hero, upgrades and items picked, store actions, ad and purchase outcomes, and errors. It also sends basic device information: the type of device and operating system, the browser, screen size, time zone, frame rate, and the website that sent you, if any.

We don't store your IP address with these statistics, and we delete them automatically after 90 days. They are only used by us, to improve the games.

Ads (Isle of Heroes on iPhone)

The iPhone version offers optional rewarded ads, shown only when you choose to watch one for a reward. They're served by Google AdMob. Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, device and usage information, and approximate location from your IP address, to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. The first time you choose to watch an ad, iOS asks whether the app may track you; if you say no, Google still shows ads but without your advertising identifier. You can change this anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

In-app purchases

If a game offers in-app purchases, they are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details; we only receive a transaction ID from Apple to deliver what you bought.

Starhold

Starhold saves your progress on your device only and does not send gameplay statistics. If a future version adds ads or statistics, this policy will be updated first.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies or analytics. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser fetches them.

Children

Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You can stop all gameplay statistics by deleting the game or clearing its data. Because the statistics are anonymous, we can't look you up by name; if you'd like your device's statistics deleted, email us and we'll help you find your player ID. You can contact us about privacy anytime under Canada's PIPEDA.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
